Where Arusha, Tanzania When January 2020 Who Small Steps for Compassion, Donate for Skate
In January 2020 we constructed Tanzania’s first skatepark at the Steps Academy School and Orphanage close to the city Arusha. We developed the skatepark in cooperation with Steps for Compassion. SSC provides children with a loving home and entrepreneurial-focused school education. Thereby equip the community with sustainable resources for lasting impact. The skatepark is open and free for everyone to use. A free skateboard equipment program is installed to secure that everyone can participate. The skatepark is already serving hundreds of local youths, providing them with a safe and clean place to play, challenge themselves, and break social barriers together. In the process of building the park, we took local skateboarders and builders from Tanzania and Uganda under our wings to pass on skills.
