Who

What started in 2024 as a mini ramp in El Tránsito has grown into a full skatepark thanks to the energy of the local kids, volunteers, and workers. In November 2025, we secured the remaining community land and began shaping the park. Within three weeks, all concrete was poured, artistic details were added, and the space came to life. The park officially opened on December 20, 2025, with nearly the entire village attending, joined by skaters from Managua and Masaya. The day was filled with skating, lessons, best trick contests, and a piñata for the kids, which they went crazy over. We donated 15 Element skateboards directly to local kids, with 12 more available for free daily use, as well as protective pads, decks, and wheels, stored next to the park. Additionally, a skate shop / hangout space is planned to help ensure the future of the park. Big thanks to The Skateroom our long-term donater, Antoine Lander, and the community of El Tránsito for making this project possible. Just as much, we would like to thank all our other donaters of this skatepark: Rider Hotel Laax, Bruno Rieder, Oli Bürgin, Skateboardkultur Basel, Yamato, Skateclub Murten, and Doodah.
